I know, I know, I’m late to the game, and it is YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, anything else that is more trendy than blogging.
But this is not the first time I blog. I used to have a blog when I first moved to Sweden, where I shared my experiences about studying at Chalmers and exploring a new country. Heck, my first paid job was to influence Asian students to move here.
So now, ten years later, I feel like I miss my online diary. It was the easiest way to keep in touch with everyone, without the constant feeling of overburdening others with my stories. If you were curious at what is happening in my life, you would read the blog.
But I do feel like there is one more purpose to it, other than sharing my experiences with people online. The visual aspect of seeing my memories, rather than just remembering them was always something I valued. I miss the pictures! These days they are piling in some or other Dropbox folder, forgotten forever. I want to be reminded of all the amazing, and less amazing, things I’ve done.
And that brings us here, 2020, world pandemic, working from home, staycationing in Sweden and going back to some old habits. Like, for example, blogging.
